Hey man! Thanx for the comment, i too can't get enough of high mtn. stream fishing! I'm not sure if i've fished that particuler area you speak of. Most of my fishing has been on the Tn. side, but i have fished in Pisgah national forest.......the davidson, french broad, and others(beutifull country!).Have you ever been to W. virginia? There is some great fishing in the cranberry backcountry, mostly the cranberry and the williams rivers. You get similar scenery to the smokies plus the bonus of i swear twice the fish......and you can camp right on the river! Also i would like to know where the green river is located in NC. Those are some great fish! matt |

That would be the main prong of the Little river in GSMNP just outside of elkmont campground on the Little river trail. Great fishing w/ some great scenery(bonus-low traffic). matt |

Yes that is the cumberland! I have been fishing down there the past 5/6 years, and had a great year last year due to the work on the damn(coupled w/ the drought). When and where to fish is contingent upon what the Army Corps. releases, which is in dirrect relation to rain, lake level, power needs,etc......typical tailwater stuff! Anyway it is a great fishery and getting better, also $50 for KY license as opposed to $80 in TN. makes a difference. I really only wade so that limits you're access points and an understanding of miles from damn=when flow arrives. |

Thanx for the info!
