    Small Creek Fanatics

Just looking to correspond with others who would prefer to cast to small wild trout rather than battle the hordes at the local "hot spot".

Up here in Northern California there are the classic fly fishing rivers like the Pit,McCloud, Sacramento and Fall. My favorites are the smaller less fished creeks.
I enjoy the quietude of the stream as well as the fact that the fish haven't seen the entire summer catalogue of flies from Cabelas.
I tie my own flies and it's a pleasure to land a fish on a fly that you created on your bench.
I haven't fished in Oregon yet even though I'm about 2 hrs from the border. I bet you have a lot of great small streams to fish.

call me crazy, but even in Montana, i seek out little streams with little wild trout. they are so elegant, all silver with just a suggestion of black spots and a red streak under their chins. lots of times i wish i were a better caster so i wouldn't have to stand in the water. maybe next year...

I live and fish in eastern Pa.I flyfish all year long,Most of the time fishing water no one fishes,or dont know theres fish in the creek. What ever the reason its okay by me i get to fish by myself.I know a few places with native brookies in 5-8" range small but suit me fine with a light 3wt.
