Picked up my new used Ultimate yesterday. I think it is probably the best fishing kayak out there at the moment. I like a sit-in kayak because I like to keep my gear protected from the elements. This kayak is so stable you can stand in it and get in and out of it with ease, just like a sit on top. I fished in one on Saturday and was able to pole myself around on the flat standing up. I was also able to stand in it sideways and facing forward with no problems at all. The seat design is nice because you can rig it for tandem or pull the front seat out and slide the back to the middle for a single. The hull design is a tunnel hull, so it paddles ok, but don't expect the speed of a v hull. For me that is ok, because I normally fish this in the inlets where I probably won't paddle more than 6 or 7 miles round trip in a day. This was about the distance I did Saturday and found it quite enjoyable. Here is the website if you would like to find out more information. http://www.nativewatercraft.com/
