It is that time of year again, chasing big stripers around the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT). Right now we are catching low to mid 30" fish on a consistent basis. The big 40+" fish have not a made a good showing this year, like they did last year. We are crossing our fingers that they are still north and that they will show up this month. The best way to target these fish during the day is to fish the structure around the bridge with sinking lines and a weighted fly. The other possibility is fishing under birds, sometimes there will be fish under them. In the evening you can fish the light line and sight fish to these fish lined up in the shadows. This requires a floating or intermediate line and a weighted fly. Alot of times these fish are a few feet down and you need to get the fly right in there grill to coax them to strike. If you need anymore information or are in the area shoot me a message with any questions. Tight Lines.

ScottI'd love to come down but the problem is finding the time. I'll give you a call if i head down your way for busienss or to visit family. Right now, getting away isn't an option and I also need to start saving up my days for whe the fish arrive up here.
You have any trips planned for the upcoming season?
