Block UserA Ruff Week on the Mad
Wow I fished Two afternoons last week with zeppo, nada, nothing goose egg. The Fish were jumping on Wednesday but could find anything they would eat in my box and Friday I didn't see a rise a few creek chubs swam by and that was as close to a fish as I got!!!
Anybody got any suggestions on this spring fishing thing??? I got the winter fish down but it's back to school for this time of year that's for certain!!!

Well Hell,
I fished the Mad after work today for a hour with No strikes. The river is high and heavily stained after yesterdays rain.
If you plan to fish the Mad over the week end be expecting a slow day..
March Madness
Ciao People,
Well I finally got on (or in) the river yesterday after work for a two hour fish. The Mad River is still high but clearity is coming back (plenty good enough to fish) . The fist 20 min produced 4 Strikes with two fish to the net, I started off fishing a bead head Pheasant tail with a small Prince for a dropper witch produced the first two strikes but I could keep the hooks in. So I switched over to a #8 Prince and hooked up two fish within 10 minutes of each other. The third fish came in a part of the river I seldom fish a hour later (I screwed around with some Midge imatations on top but the water isn't that clear)..
Fished at Last
Finally got out in the River Last Night!!! almost two weeks since I fished the Farm Market stretch(5 strikes two fish, good old Prince and copper john).
The river is up and stained but I couldn't take it any more and I fished anyway. Man were the fish ON. I fished for a hour with around 10 strikes and 2 landed fish. They were even smashing my strike indicator!! nothing coming off but you couldn't tell them that!!!!

Hey All,
I was able to get out Tuesday for a 1.5hr fish, I decided to fish the Park in West Liberty due to the lack of time.
I totally screwed the pouch on the first strike (of 2) and missed the fish. Then I broke off the second fish (due to a crap knot) and that was that...
I got out again on Thursday where I fished the top two holes at Pimtown with one caught fish for the effort, Two other fishermen had just ran through the river ahead of me so I was more than happy to land the one fish.
All in all not a bad month of fishing.....
