Caught My first brownie of the Year Sunday, The Mad has been so low it's been a real struggle to get up the ambition to fish.

A Smoking Hot day on the Mad River

I got in the water after work Yesterday for a three hour fish. Results being 8 fish to the net and one fish I set the hook to quick on and pulled the fly out of its mouth with no hook up. two fish were of legal size or better (12" for the Mad) The most fish caught in one setting a personel best. The Dry fly is got me know!!

Is there any open water on the Mad at this time?? We are all iced in up here and I got cabin feavor, I don't like thinking about driveing all the way to Ky. Kenn

I can imagine the chill over here..... If I'm there... It will be an extra ais cream stick in the water...

I'm still trying to improve my tying skill.... still much to learn... to post a video, I have to make sure the pattern works and easy to tie.... when it's ready, I'll definitely post it and sent you a copy....

We are in tropical country... will freezeeeee to death before going into the river.... :)

I fished the Mad last week end, did no good. All fish are safe, from me. I did hook some chubs, all etc. failed. Think I will go for some blue gill this week end.
