    American Angler & Fly Tyer

    Friday, May 30, 2008, 11:49 AM [General]

It's nice to see that the hard work my dad poured forth in rescuing Fly Tyer Quarterly from being five issues behind and out of cash has survived to this day. I remember going with my dad to the old Surrette's Fly Shop in North Conway to sift and sort through a litteral mountain of unopened mail piled high along the wall next to ****'s ummm bench. These were the days of typewriters, wax and non-repro blue pens and a vice on every desk. So many memories to share if encouraged to do so...

    Tight Lines,

    Hi Bob,

Let me tell you, I'm glad that your dad spent the energy required to save the magazine, too. I'm proud to be at the helm of his creation. Did you ever see the article we did on the history of American Angler? If not, drop me a line, and I'll email it to you.
