How to sell a trout cabin?

Sunday, June 8, 2008, 04:33 PM EST [General]

Does anyone know if there are realty services specializing in fishermen? We have a 3BR/2BA log cabin on a wild trout stream in the Western NC mountains. It has been my piece of paradise, but we are relocating to CA.

It has been extensively improved with new pine floors upstairs, new tile floors downstairs, and an all-new master bath. Our asking price is below the tax assessors appraisal, yet we aren't moving it. I know the market is slow, but this is such a rare property, I think it is also in part because we are using the local small-town realtor. He only advertises it in the local media where there just aren't enough people in the right demographic.

    Any suggestions?
