    Steelhead Fishing!!!

    Sunday, November 25, 2007, 03:03 PM [General]

Last weekend, my best friend and I went over to Idaho with the intention of catching Steelhead.  Little did we know how hard it would really be.  We heard stories about it from friends and guides, but we knew that we would catch one!  The first day was unsucessful.  We fished from dawn to dusk with no luck.  The second day was going the same way.  That was until 2:00 p.m. when I casted once more and landed this 11 pound, 31.5 inch native Steelhead.  We are now "hooked" on Steelheading and will once again venture down to Idaho this next spring for more excitement.

Congadulations my first steehead was caught in Michigan on the Muskegon river,it was about ten pound. It was on the second day of a two day float.I'd had two hook ups before I hooked and landed the fish which after reviving was released.
