Went to the Deschutes for the weekend.  The water was high and the color was off a bit but the fishing was fair given the conditions.  We received great advise from John and Amy at Deschutes Angler in Maupin.  We primarily used a march brown emerger pattern with a red hot bug.  The weather cooperated some with a stiff wind Saturday afternoon and a little snow on Sunday but overall good winter fishing.  We caught twenty or so red sides averaging 12 to 18 inch with one about 20.  You haven't been out go.
