In starting this discussion I hope to find ways to influance more people to create a better experiance for everyone.

In the short time (8 years) I have been flyfishing I have met some of the most wonderful people, however there are some people that could use some education in ethics. I live in southwest Missouri and my home water is Lake Taneycomo (the eastern end of the White River). It seems that every where I go when I mention that I am from Missouri they sudenly frown and mention the less than stellar reputation we have.

I personaly give every attempt at being a good ethical sportsman when I am on the river as do the great majority of the people I have met. I however I am frustrated with the situtation on my home waters. I am hoping to find people from around the country that may have experianced some of the same problems we have here in Missouri so that I may learn how they were able to correct the problems and make changes here at home.

    Tight lines,
