Welcome!

For you old timers of the old American Anglers Fly Fishing Forum, my old user name was Don1, or maybe it was just plain Don. I don't remember. It was a long time ago. Well, I went back to the old BB awhile ago to catch up with you all and I didn't recognize the place! I took so long to sign up again because, well, I was a bit intimidated by the whole thing. The advice the editors gave was "Get used to it!" Well here I am getting used to it. So far, so good.

As far as my intentions for this blog, I don't expect anybody to learn anything here. Not intentionally anyway. Oh, sure, I'd be happy to answer any questions for newbies to fly fishing. I noticed there is a group for beginners, that would probably be the best place for questions, but don't let that stop you from asking here. I'll do my best to give accurate advice and if I don't know what the heck I'm talking about, well, I'll try to make it obvious so the guys at the fly shop don't laugh too loud when you ask why they don't have Grey Fox Sortas in the fly bin.

Anyway, intentions - I love a good story. And I love idle chit-chat. Think of this blog, page, bulletin - whatever this is called, as a stream side encounter with someone who has a thermos full of coffee and is willing to share. Got a story about your last time out on the water? Want to brag about a fish of a lifetime? Want to vent your frustration about the fish of a life time that got away? Camp stories, reflections, cool gear, let's hear about it. Or just say "Hi".

I'm hoping to post some ramblings from time-to-time. How often depends on how busy things get here at work.

It's good to be back! And I hope to get reacquainted with those from the old board. If any of you remember the old Fly Rod Reel BB, the same thing happend there. Oh, well, call me a Luddite.
